Privacy Policy

This policy covers outsidelinesco.com, operated by Outside Lines PNW, LLC. The short version: we collect as little as possible, we don’t sell anything to anyone, and if you ask us to delete your data we will.
What we collect
Analytics. We use privacy-friendly analytics to see which pages are visited and roughly where visitors come from. This does not use cookies and does not track you across other sites. We cannot identify you from it.
Scores you run. When you use the Fishability Index Engine, the values you enter are sent to our server to be scored. We do not attach them to you, and we do not require an account to use it.
Email address — only if you give it to us. If you subscribe to updates, we store your address to send you those updates. Every message includes an unsubscribe link.
Trip requests.If you ask us for a trip sheet, what you type — your email address, the water, the dates, the species and anything you add — is sent to us as an email. We don’t put it in a database and we don’t create an account for you; it lives in our mailbox like any other message, and you can ask us to delete it.
Trip reports — only if you submit them. Trip reports are private to you by default. Where we use them to improve the Engine, we use them in aggregated and anonymised form.
What we don’t do
We don’t sell or rent your personal information. We don’t run advertising trackers. We don’t build advertising profiles. We don’t publish your fishing locations — if location data is ever used in anything public or aggregate, it is fuzzed.
Who else touches your data
The site is hosted by Vercel and the scoring service and database by Railway. Email is delivered by Resend. All three process data on our behalf in order to run the service.
Your choices
You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email mike@outsidelinesco.com and we’ll take care of it.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, the date above will change. If the change affects data we already hold about you, we’ll tell you directly where we can.
